Are you 15 years old or older and looking for a great part-time job with flexible hours or a challenging career? American Red Cross Lifeguarding is the best place to start! Lifeguarding puts you in an exciting position, working as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water. You must attend every class to receive the American Red Cross certification. The NOCO Construction Sector Partnership would like to inform you of a phenomenal upcoming free training opportunity for those interested in getting into the heavy civil side of our industry. This is optimal for adults or high schoolers who will be graduating soon and are interested in careers in construction. Details are still being finalized and will be sent out and shared soon from Moses Alvarez with the Colorado Contractors Association. Below is some additional information about this program that will be offered up North here in our communities in February. SPM Oil and Gas: https://careers.caterpillar.com/en/jobs/job/r0000173552-student-trainee/ The Fort Lupton service center for SPM Oil and Gas is interested in hiring 3 student interns (location is Old 85 and CR 8). There are three areas of the facility (all indoors) that you will work in throughout this internship: service area, warehouse and administrative office. Pay is $18/hour. Hours determined by your school and activity schedule and runs from January till April. Mentorship and Safety Training are part of the benefits; along with experience in a worldwide company. Requirements for employment are: Background check, Drug Screening, Reliable transportation. If you are interested in mechanical work this internship would be great for you!Talk with Mrs. Howell for more information Room A112 Wayne's Electric, a local company just down the road-- is now creating a 2nd and 3rd shift for high school students who are interested in working and learning the electrical trade. Students would either work the M-F 4-8 pm shift or an 8 hour Saturday shift. (This is in addition to the 7-11 am shift we currently have 9 students placed in). Students will need to fill out their employment application to be considered. There are some questions on there that may be unclear to a high school students so they may need some assistance in filling them out. Feel free to send students to my room (A112) if they need help filling it out. This is a fabulous opportunity. Starting pay is above $16/hour and if students have an interest in pursuing the Electrical field as a career, they have a journeyman training program that they will help workers go through, which doubles the hourly wage upon completion.
